Punched Paper Tape

The standard for punched paper tape was set in November 1965 as the EUROPEAN COMPUTER MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (ECMA) Standard for Data Interchange on Punched Tape.

A variety of character encoding standards are supported.

The ascii 7-bit character code track allocation is defined in section 3.3.3. and looks like this:
