ZDS Search for SourceSafe®

Release 1.43 : September 27, 2004

Large database support
The 1.43 package includes an extended version to index databases of over 250,000 files. More details are included in the release notes.

ntdll.dll compatibility fix
This applies to users running Windows Server 2003. The generation program was faulting in ntdll.dll version 5.2.3790.0.

Minor changes
A new 'SuppressBypassedZeroLengthDataFileLogMessages' parameter may be specified in the ssx.ini file.
Minor corrections have been made to the manual.
A 'Y' flag has been added to the copy step in ssxgencopy.bat to remove the requirement for user confirmation.

Multiple Database Support
This applies to users with more than one database. The system now automatically connects to the indexed database. It is no longer necessary for individual users to set the current database to match the indexed database using their SourceSafe client's 'File' 'Open SourceSafe database'.

Single Server Operation
This applies to users who have chosen to co-locate the index generation and server on a single server. Testing the index from the command line can now be done without disturbing the registry settings for browser operation.

stphandler now launches the local Visual SourceSafe client
The previous behaviour assumed that a win32 directory was located as a peer to the data directory, which is not always so.
